If you're an aspiring actor, comedian, or simply want to learn more about either, don't miss the comedy improv workshop!

Comedienne Karen Ripley will be conducting a comedy workshop on Saturday, October 13 at 1pm at the Eudora Welty Library in Downtown Jackson.

Karen Ripley has been teaching improvisation to children and adults for over 25 years. Karen has been the in house Improv teacher for Harvey Milk Institute, SF, Ca for the past 9 years. Karen has been a part of several improv troupes. The most well known, "Over Our Heads", performed once a month for 13 years at Mama Bears Bookstore in Berkeley, Ca. Currently Karen performs improv with "Women Who Crave Attention", featuring Annie Larson, Amy Boyd, Karla Carmony and Jenny McNulty. She was also recently featured on Logo.

We are asking for a minimum donation of $10 to attend this workshop or $5 with proof-of-purchase of a ticket to the main event (later that evening). Tickets are available via Ticketmaster. If you'd like to RSVP (space is limited), please email comedy@outoberfest.com.
